Since EDU-DEX standardizes all information and is completely independent from education & training institutes, programmes details are maximally transparent and comparable for course participants and their employers.
Quality and updating
The data in EDU-DEX is always up to date.
When an education or training provider changes a date or price in EDU-DEX today, this information will be imported into the LMS, the portal or the course catalog of the customer the next day.
Trainers suppliers and customers save costs with EDU-DEX connection.
Because suppliers only need to update one single external database. And customers can import the data of all preferred training suppliers through one link. And because of the daily updates, there will be no more registrations for outdated course dates or prices.
EDU-DEX is an independent, non-profit foundation.
Because EDU-DEX is a joint service of all education & training suppliers for all customers, portals and search sites – transparent and neutral!

Rino Schreuder – co-founder of EDU-DEX – has been in charge of the day-to-day management since the start in 2014. He ensures that more and more training suppliers, customers and Network partners join. And that the EDU-DEX system continues to fulfill new functions and roles. Questions and issues are quickly resolved by a team of specialists that are associated with EDU-DEX.

In 2013, a large group of training institutes decided to make all information about the collective education & training programmes freely available to customers. Through one central data exchange, every day. In this way, they contribute to a transparent, efficient training market in which quality is recognizable and in which data is up-to-date on a daily basis.
For this purpose, one open data standard has been developed, which ended the costly jumble of error prone data flows between education & training institutes and their customers. Training data became maximally transparent and comparable.
In 2014, a not-for-profit foundation was established as the legal house for EDU-DEX. It manages the standard and ensures optimal support for organisations with retrieving, maintaining and distributing information about programmes.
The joint education & training suppliers bear the costs of EDU-DEX. End users of training information can always obtain this information at no cost from EDU-DEX.
EDU-DEX has been registered in the Trade Register as a non-profit foundation on January 23, 2014 (no. 59825022). The foundation’s statutory goal is to: </ span>

- improve the quality and updatedness of training details
- save costs for education & training suppliers and their customers through an open data standard
- collect and provide education & training information through an independent data exchange
General Terms and Conditions
EDU-DEX collects, validates and disseminates information about training and educational programmes that are actively made available by their suppliers. When connecting to EDU-DEX, these suppliers undertake to update the information at least once a day (via XML) or once a month (manually). Ownership of, and all legal liabilities for, this information rests with the programme providers. No rights can be derived from publication through EDU-DEX, and EDU-DEX is not liable for any inaccuracies.
